Spicing up IKEA furniture

One design blog that I've been following the past couple of months is Elements of Style http://elementsofstyleblog.com/. This week Erin's post about a product called Overlays really caught my attention. So many of us have bought IKEA furniture and love the simple, modern swedish designs. But don't you ever think you might want to "spice" up that simple Billy bookcase or Rast dresser? Well, Overlays by Danika Cheryle, LLC, are pre-cut 1/8" thick PVC lightweight foam pieces that you can adhere to the furniture surface and paint, spray paint is recommended. The Overlays come in a variety of geometric, modern patterns. http://www.danikacheryle.com/

Remember that white washed armoir in the "Savannah Room"? I'm thinking that I might want to purchase some overlays to dress up the two front doors.
What do you think? Would you ever use Overlays?
